Youth Day: Mayo-Danay officially launches the "Sixtieth Anniversary Week" in Wina
On Wednesday, 4 February, the Mayo-Danay department officially launched the activities of the Youth Day "Sixty Years Celebration Week". The district of Wina was chosen to host this departmental ceremony, presided over by Prefect Garba Bakari in the presence of a host of administrative, municipal, traditional and religious authorities.
The ceremony was attended by the sub-prefects of Wina and Yagoua, the mayor of Wina, and numerous local officials, demonstrating the importance attached to this celebration dedicated to young people.
In his address, the Prefect of Mayo-Danay urged young people to get actively involved in the various activities planned and to seize the opportunities offered by the government in terms of guidance, integration and empowerment. This was a powerful message to young people who are called upon to take charge of their own development.
So let's get ready for several days of activities, culminating in the grand parade on 11 February at Place des Fêtes.
