Declaration by young parliamentarians on their commitment to meeting the challenges of climate change in Cameroon
We, the young parliamentarians of the 8th legislature, committed to the future of our planet, take the floor today to express our deep concern about climate change and its devastating consequences on our communities, biodiversity and ecosystems.
Aware of our role as young parliamentarians, we undertake to :
- Raising awareness and mobilising our communities by organising educational campaigns on the impacts of climate change and local adaptation solutions.
Our future is being shaped today, and we refuse to be the generation that allowed climate change to dictate the fate of our planet. Together, we can build a greener, more caring world that respects the environment.
