In prelude to the celebration of the 60th edition of the national youth Day, the ministry of youth affairs and civic education organised a couple of activities such as socio education exchanges with young Cameroonians
CONTEXT AND JUSTIFICATION
The Government of the Republic's objective is to enhance youth participation and contribution in order to develop substantial human capital. To this end, it relies on the guidelines defined by the 30th National Development Strategy (SND-30). It is within this framework that the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC) organizes and implements, in collaboration with all stakeholders, the events marking the celebration of Youth Day.
For the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, the "eleven-day" period represents eleven days of activities for young people and by young people.
It is thus an educational project based on four main components:
👉🏽Information and knowledge (knowledge);
👉🏽Changes in attitudes and behaviors (interpersonal skills);
👉🏽Projects to be carried out (practical skills);
👉🏽New perspectives (developmental skills).
After the traditional execution of the National Anthem, it's now time for the presentation of the different panelists present such as ;
Dr. Roland Asandji from the university of Yaounde 2, Mme Venus Ploton, PRONEC-REAMORCE ambassador, Mme Maïnoue F. From MINPOSTEL, Mme Mbarga Sidonie MINJEC, Dr, Noël R. Meke From the university of Yaounde 2 and moderated by Mr. Nounga from MINJEC
The first speaker here today is Dr. Noël R. Meke who took the time to explain the concept of political instrumentalisation of youth. Pointing out the fact that political instrumentalisation of Cameroon youths is a pressing issue.
